Gateway Christian School family fun and golf day

Gateway Christian School is once again inviting the community to join them for their annual Family Fun and Golf Day, taking place on Saturday, August 2 at the Barberton Golf Club. The event promises to be a festive and memorable day filled with fun for the whole family, while raising much-needed funds for the school’s new sports grounds project.

This year’s Golf Day and Family Fun Extravaganza kicks off bright and early with a shotgun start at 07:00. Golfers will compete in an American Scramble format and stand the chance to win fantastic prizes. Four-balls are still available at just R2 000 per team, which includes a grab-and-go meal. Golf carts must be booked directly at the Barberton Golf Club.

But it’s not just about golf! The day is packed with excitement for all ages. From more than 40 flea market stalls to a large jumping castle zone, a clown to entertain the children and hand out sweets, and interactive games hosted by the school staff, every corner of the event promises joy and entertainment. The Gateway staff takes the lead in hosting and managing all the games and stalls, giving parents and children the chance to simply enjoy the day.

Last year, the funds raised were used to install inverters for the admin and high school departments, enabling uninterrupted learning for learners following the online IEB curriculum. This year marks the start of fundraising for much-anticipated school sports fields.

There are still limited spots available for vendors and golfers alike. Whether you’re swinging a club or strolling through the market, this day is all about community, connection, and creating unforgettable memories.
