Barberton Nursery School recently touched the hearts of Barberton’s senior citizens with a thoughtful community project that combined kindness, music, and the spirit of giving.

On Tuesday, October 1, the school delivered 83 beautifully prepared gift packets to every resident at BOBS Centre. The initiative was made possible through the incredible generosity of parents and friends of the school, who rallied together to ensure each senior received a special token of love and care.

Principal Monique Heunis expressed her heartfelt thanks towards everyone who supported them. “A huge thank you to the amazing parents and friends of Barberton Nursery School for your generous donations! We are so grateful for the opportunity to bring joy and comfort to our community’s seniors.”

Adding to the delight of the day, the nursery school learners performed a sneak peek of their upcoming concert, filling the hall with laughter, music, and the cheerful energy that only little ones can bring. The seniors responded with smiles and warm applause, clearly enjoying the performance.

The school extended their gratitude to those who helped make the day possible, including Ms. Danelle Joubert and Mr. Masondo’s Taxi Service, who assisted with transport.

This act of kindness is a reminder of the strong community spirit that Barberton is known for, where the youngest residents honour and celebrate the oldest with respect, love, and joy.
