On Saturday morning, August 30, SAVF Kleutervriend Nursery School delighted parents and guests with their annual concert. It was a vibrant production aptly themed bold, alive, with lots of glitter!” The productions name was: "Are you my Mother?"
With 92 little performers taking to the stage, the concert was an explosion of music, lights, and energetic dancing that kept the audience on their feet from start to finish.
The enchanting storyline followed a tiny chick who lost her mother in the mountains surrounding Barberton. As she journeyed through the jungle, she encountered elephants, tigers, and many other wild animals. The bees took pity on her and decided to help but then they ran into the mighty King Lion. A dramatic storm added excitement, but in the end, the little chick was guided by birdsong back to her mountain home and to her mother’s loving wings.
Principal Liana Nieuwenhuis expressed heartfelt gratitude: “We are grateful for the support and trust our parents have in us, the staff of SAVF Kleutervriend. We are just so thankful for our Father for making us, us.”
The evening was more than a performance, it was a celebration of childhood, creativity, and community spirit. The hard work of the children, teachers, and parents paid off in a 10/10 show that will be remembered for years to come.
