BHS blood donors receive a sweet surprise
The Lowveld Blood Bank team paid Barberton High School's blood donors a visit with treat-filled parcels to wish them well for their final exams.
The regular blood donors of Barberton High School received an unexpected visit this week from the Lowveld Blood Bank team, who stopped by to show their appreciation in a heartfelt way.
A total of 65 pupils who have consistently donated blood throughout the year were surprised with special gift parcels filled with treats and good wishes for their upcoming final exams. The gesture was the blood bank’s way of saying thank you for their continued commitment to saving lives.

The school has built a strong culture of compassion and community service, with its learners proudly supporting the blood donation drives that visit the campus regularly. Each donation contributes to a vital cause, and the enthusiasm of these young donors has not gone unnoticed.
“We are so proud of our pupils for giving so selflessly,” their teacher Janet Booysen remarked. “They have not only made a difference in the lives of others but have also shown the true spirit of Barberton High.”
As the year draws to a close, these acts of kindness and community connection remind us that giving, in any form, is what truly unites Barberton.
